The National Public Health Coordination Office regularly offers webinars on how to use the Public Health Digital Library to members of the NPHCO.  Courses include:

  • E-books in the PHDL:  A STAT!Ref Primer

Trainings at your Public Health Department

Customized trainings online or at your location are available for members of the NPHCO.   Email phdl@umassmed.edu or call 508-856-2085  for information on organizing a customized instruction session for the PHDL users at your department. 

NNLM Training Opportunities

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine offers classes and webinars for librarians and others interested in NNLM resources.  Classes cover a broad range of subjects in the fields of Public Health, consumer health and biomedical research.  Classes that qualify for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES)  credit are labeled.   For information on classes currently offered, visit the NNLM Training Opportunities page.  

NNLM's Public Health Webinar Series

The NNLM has announced a Public Health Webinar Series.  Classes in the series meet the second Wednesday of every other month from 2:00-2:45 PM ET starting July 8, 2020.  Learn about topics such as data in community health assessment and finding health information related to emergency preparedness. More topics will be announced soon.   In addition, previously held classes are recorded and available online.  If you’re interested in continuing education, every webinar offered as part of this series will offer .75 CHES for Certified Health Education Specialists!

New PubMed Quick Tour

Learn about the NEW PubMed!

It's official! As of April 2020, the new PubMed will become the official version of PubMed.  To help users become familiar with the site and new functionality, the National Library of Medicine has created a series of self paced, interactive, online trainings for the release.  The Quick Tours run about 2 minutes and can be accessed anytime.
